BOOTY ENVY - So, have you ever seen the perfect butt and exclaimed: “Oh my gosh. You have the best butt!” Yes, I enthusiastically expressed that yesterday at my gym. I’m really shy! Hey, if I see something I like and want—whether it’s a pair of red stilettos, a pair of pants or a pair of glutes--- I want the details! Her butt wasn’t big— just high and firm— exactly what I’m going for. So she told me she runs and does a lot of lunges. Then she hit me with this: “I’m 21, though”. I don’t know about you but I cannot decipher ages anymore— people I think are 40—are 20 and vice versa! But I digress. I’m not saying due to age I can’t have a better booty— but I will just have to work a little harder at getting what I want. And that’s okay. I’ve worked for everything in my life—like we all have. Getting that good, solid, high booty is no different! Now, a weather report: I’m enjoying one last sunny day here in Arizona before another snow storm—yes, SNOW storm rolls in. Been a crazy winter-- Just two days ago there was snow on the Superstition Mountains! I’ll never complain again when it hits 116 this summer---well,…. An acquaintance saw my IG page for the first time recently. . I was with her when she was scrolling through my feed, showing me my own pics, making comments (all complimentary) and asking questions. . But then the interrogation took a dire turn—cue the Perry Mason Music: “Lynda, what pills do you have to take to look this way?!” . She was serious. Seriously, serious. . Trust me, I know this person enough to know she does not have a bad bone in her body. She wasn’t being mean-spirited. (Though I can be a bit naïve, hum??) . In any case, people still assume fit, lean people—especially women-- take steroids. . People who aren’t into fitness do think there ARE pills we can pick up at the nearest gym. . No thanks—never. Why would I want to look like a thick-necked, buff dude with no boobs?! . Rhetorical question there!! . I’m not a saboteur. I’d never risk my health or my life by taking drugs. . I don’t get the appeal to ‘roids anyway. Lean is so much more appealing! . Back to my friend-- part of the reason for her question? Likely her age--- and mine—she’s in her early 60s and I’m 57. . Many don’t think people can be in good shape in their 50s and beyond. But I’m proof we can be---she said humbly. . So, do share below: Do you get this question? . BTW: Left quad—super flexed there---I’m not on ‘roids!! . Also, that’s now my Ohio State University Christmas tree—then Memorial Day…then…. .
